Hi this is Doris! We recently upgraded our internal accounting and CRM software to Vision 6.1, but not without setting up a test environment. Deltek Vision 6.1 is a major upgrade. There are a enough changes in the products features and infrastructure to warrant setting up a pre-conversion environment to test your day to day needs. We have successfully created a low cost test set up for many of our clients and these are some of the items we’ve bumped up against so far. * Deltek Vision 6.1 is a full rebuild of reporting services to SQL reporting * Deltek Vision 5.1 is fully uninstalled, 5.1 and 6.1 cannot both exist on the server. * Microsoft Excel downloads are different, there are changes to navigate and search. * Printing is handled differently, anticipate work in printing * The interface is new but easy to adapt to (low training curve.) * CRM activities have a design view * Data entry seems faster * Invoice templates with logos have needed a small amount of work to reuse them * Timekeeper comments entry has an autofill feature Consider using us to help with your Deltek Vision upgrade, it can be managed and completed for a very reasonable cost. We can set up a test environment before converting live so that we can work out any issues beforehand.
